My Story
Helping Businesses Grow Starts With Building Better Systems.
I didn’t set out to become an international development practitioner.
My career began inside formal financial systems, where I developed expertise in accounting, audit, banking operations and SME finance. Working closely with businesses gave me a front-row seat to the realities entrepreneurs face every day.
Over time, I noticed something that would shape the direction of my work.
Many small businesses were hardworking and ambitious, yet they struggled to grow—not because of a lack of effort, but because they lacked practical systems for managing finances, making informed decisions and adopting digital tools with confidence.
That realisation led me beyond banking and into community enterprise development, financial inclusion, digital capability programmes and applied research.
Today, my work brings these worlds together. I help organisations, communities and development partners design practical systems that improve financial capability, strengthen small businesses and create more inclusive opportunities for growth.

From Finance to AI-Enabled Innovation
A career shaped by finance, enterprise development, digital inclusion and a growing focus on technology-enabled solutions for small businesses.
Finance & Banking
I began my career in audit and banking, building strong experience in financial controls, customer management, lending and SME finance.
Working With Small Businesses
My banking roles brought me increasingly closer to entrepreneurs and small business owners, helping me understand the everyday challenges they face around finance, records, customers and growth.
Enterprise & Financial Inclusion
I expanded this work through business-development programmes, women-enterprise initiatives and practical financial-literacy and record-keeping support.
Digital Inclusion
I began exploring how technology could make business support more accessible — including digital payments, WhatsApp-based training, digital business support and ecommerce initiatives.
Building Digital Capability
My work later expanded into developing young people and Digital Business Assistants who could use practical digital tools to support small businesses.
AI-Enabled Innovation
Today, I am bringing these experiences together to develop AI-enabled solutions designed around the realities of non-tech-savvy small businesses.
